Sample Answer for Task 1

The diagrams illustrate the development of a particular area from 1965 to the present day.

The most notable change in the area is the replacement of the ferry with a road bridge. On the northern side of the bridge, the forest on the left riverside was cleared to construct a large car park. A smaller car park was also built on the opposite side of the river, accessible via a small path from the main road. Additionally, numerous houses and apartments were constructed around this car park.

To the south of the bridge, more houses were built along the main road. Further developments planned by 2018 include a footbridge running parallel to the main road, a yacht marina, and an additional small car park.

Sample Answer for Task 2

Many high school graduates lack personal money management skills, a prevalent issue today. This essay explores the reasons behind this trend and proposes solutions to address it.

One primary reason for this problem is that most high school students are financially dependent on their parents. Living at home, they rarely need to earn money, as their parents cover their expenses. Often, the only money they handle is pocket money, intended for spending rather than saving or managing. Consequently, students learn to spend but not to earn, save, or budget wisely.

To address this issue, schools should introduce compulsory money management courses during high school. Such courses would equip students with essential skills to manage personal finances upon entering adulthood and employment. Additionally, parents should take responsibility for educating their children about financial literacy at home. By teaching budgeting and saving habits, parents can help ensure their children achieve financial independence after graduation.

In conclusion, while the lack of money management skills among school leavers is a significant issue, implementing financial education in schools and at home can effectively address this problem.
